Organizations are constantly trying to come up with new ways to disrupt, interrupt and annoy in the name of advertising. We are surrounded by millions of little voices all shouting in our ears about how wonderful they are and how much we need their products and services.

The most important thing a webpage can do is be crystal clear about exactly what you can do on that webpage.
The best word to describe people when they are on the Web is “impatient.” They are particularly impatient when they arrive at your website for the first time. They are asking themselves the essential question: “Is this a website I can actually do something on quickly and easily or is it just marketing?”
Are there others like me out there, who are becoming more and more immune to false and deceptive advertising and marketing?

2010 is the year to pull your socks up with how you invest your money in your brand.
Aim to adopt a more iterative process focusing on objectives and customers top tasks. Why do people come to your website? What links are most popular and how can you adjust your structure to accommodate this?

These values which are in our culture and we just forget them.

Many companies adopt a strange attitude towards content, adopting the attitude that it’s simply there to fill pages. It doesn’t help you do things, it’s creation is often disassociated from it’s use and its only use is it’s contribution to shortening the attention span of your user.
One of the greatest challenges I face is convincing companies the importance of, and managing the completion of, information-based tasks.
Why do people come to your website? What are they trying to do? Are you leading them down the road you want them to travel both with content and imagery?
We must reconnect information with its purpose and we must get to grips with our demographic.

Everyday I drive from along the Birkirkara bypass and see a number of billboards sticking out from the side of the road behind trees. I can tell you that yesterday Tom Jones and Dell are being advertised, the details I can’t make out due to the placement of these boards, It’s a busy road and both boards are obstructed.
